Developers and creators will discover opportunities by leveraging Samsung’s vast ecosystem

Samsung Electronics has announced its speakers and schedule for the Samsung Developer Conference 2021 (SDC21), to be held on October 26and. The annual conference, entirely virtual this year, will bring together developers and creators to shape the future of consumer experiences.

At SDC21, the company plans to share its latest software, service, and platform updates with thousands of developers and creators to enable smarter, more seamless connectivity between devices. Attendees will be able to discover opportunities to create cutting-edge solutions for millions of people, leveraging Samsung’s vast ecosystem.

DJ Koh, President and CEO of Samsung Electronics’ Computing and Mobile Communications Division, will open SDC21 by explaining where Samsung’s strategy would be heading to bring innovation to the customer experience.

The following keynote speakers are lined up to discuss Samsung’s strategies for platforms and ecosystems with topics ranging from security, privacy to various platforms including Bixby, SmartThings and Tizen:

  • Samantha Osborne, Vice President, SmartThings Inc.
  • Jeongsook Lee, Vice President, Office of Customer Experience
  • Yongjae Kim, Senior Vice President, Visual Display Software R&D

  • Janghyun Yoon, Executive Vice President, Mobile Software R&D

The highlight sessions of the SDC21 consist of three groups. The first, Platforms Designed For Connected Experiences, will explore the cross-device experience of Bixby and SmartThings and how Samsung plans to deliver the vision of the future smart home.

The second Innovating Mobile Experience Across Samsung Galaxy Ecosystem session will examine One UI 4 innovations and the design process for foldable devices to help developers optimize their own apps for an increasing number of foldable devices.

The third session, The Evolution of Tizen and Innovative Screen Experiences, will examine Samsung’s new Smart TV services and how its ecosystem has improved with Tizen 6.5.

Additionally, developers who want to stay up-to-date with industry insights and cutting-edge technology will find Tech Talk sessions from Samsung’s top experts very useful. For those interested in the latest Samsung technologies, it is highly recommended to visit the Digital Tech Hub at SDC21, a digital exhibition of Samsung technology with easily accessible resources.

Code Lab will provide developers with the opportunity to build their skills through hands-on coding experience with sample applications to test simple scenarios. Developers can even try out their codes on cutting-edge devices like the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Filp3 via remote access.

In recognition of content developers for excellence in design, innovation, quality and performance, the winners of the Best of Galaxy Store Awards 2021 will be announced in SDC21.

Developers and even end customers will have the chance to win a Galaxy Z Flip3 by participating in the collection of digital badges on the SDC21 website. By watching sessions and participating in Code Lab and Hacker’s Playground as well as social media events like #mySDCstack and earning five or more digital badges, participants will have the chance to win a Galaxy Z Flip3.
